The monitor allows you to check the battery status quickly and easily via your smartphone: after simply connecting to the battery via eyelets, download the JMP Battery Monitor II app for Apple or Android. Connection is via Bluetooth 4.0 only, for example, from iPhone 4s, iPad3 or iPod Touch 5. If the voltage drops below the minimum level, it is signaled that the battery needs to be recharged as soon as possible: also ideal for detecting alternator surges before battery damage occurs. The positive state of charge ensures full battery capacity and also prevents any premature damage or battery failure: the battery state of charge is recorded during the trip and can be recalled later. The file with the data can be emailed from the smartphone and displayed in Excel. In this way, it is possible to quickly tell when the charging voltage has dropped or was too high: even a faulty voltage regulator can be quickly detected. This avoids time-consuming troubleshooting when problems occur. In case of a low battery or other problems, a notification can alert the driver, depending on the setting in the app options. Not suitable for lithium batteries!
